    Freaking cool!

So reasonably good visual rain effects (anyone remember the attempt in SCGT?) and full tire effects... gonna be good!

This sounds great. The visual effect is slightly academic for me since I don't drive open-wheelers very much, but feeling the effects of flatspots and so forth sounds really cool.

Looks very gut. I hope this means that grass, sand, dirt also have a chance to appear on the tire visually ;]

I seriously have tears in my eyes... I love rFactor... I found a serious issue though..

    PLEASE PLEASE rF Development guys...

When rF came out.. It took my roughly 6 months to train the wife to be understanding.. I had to give up going out with my buddies, having a good time with friends...sacrificed time away from my growing family... and now from what i can tell.. rF2.. will possibly cost me my marriage.. Please can you guys add some pink cars for the ladies.. or some fashion segment to the new game.. so Girls will be interested.. lol...

Sure, there are the paddle shifters, but the hands and arms should be much more in front of the wheel, rather than coming in from the side like that. You could never get your elbows anywhere near that high. And my fingers and arms are thicker than that without gloves on, and I'm not fat either.

I realize this is WIP and not really the point of this thread, but please ISI, do something about this before release.

This is absolutely amazing! Seriously can't wait!!!

The hands do like kind of "GPL" quality, but I don't care, the game is just looking too epic.

    Hello
Well for sure this is just awesome.
But I do have a question
I noticed that the track layout is being shown in the center of the steering wheel
Is that going to give positioning of everyone on track and will all the info be there also kinda like the way it was back in the day with F1 Challenge.
I always thought that was great and not having that pit info thing on the out side would be better.

    anyway
Again you guys at ISI surprise me and out do your selves.
    Awesome
    Ruben M.

I was hoping to see something like that in rFactor.
Having pressure affect tyre shape would add another useful feedback, so I'm also hoping to see that.

Good work and keep diggin' :)

These developments really are awsome. These new features will add immersion not yet experienced on rfactor and will give us lots more to think about. Please keep up the great work.

I am also not that interested in driving formula-type cars. I rather stick to historic tin-tops and this is where my question is heading:

Will I be able, after, let´s say practice, to have a virtual closer look at my tires like I would do in real life? To see the tire deformation or change of texture right ftom the cockpit ist very nice but for people driving tintops rather useless. I might be able to feel the changes bit I will definately not see them.
So: Will I be able to have a look at the tires after a session?

    I believe not.
It is only layout picture like real drivers have glued sometimes to wheel or somewhere in cockpit

I have question to Tim. Is that effect will visualize also wearing on tyre edges?

If you do it, do it well. On the screen the damages are symetrical. Flatspot arent.

Curious to see blowed tires (crevaison).

I salute the initiative and i deplore the awesomeness in the comments, it's far to be a 10/10

    @Yutja
The easiest way would be to just prepare additional car cameras, pointing on each tyre (like you just stand there, next to your car). Of course it can be better than that - like dedicated screen available only in pitlane area and when the car is standing still, showing temps, pressures and your wheels surface (beeing able to rotate them would be nice, too!). Just an example. Let's see what ISI can say about that.
