Did you just flatspot your tire? Is the rubber beginning to grain? Having a hard time feeling out the handling to discover what the problem is? Not anymore. Just open your eyes.

This is something I've certainly never seen before and is another one of those things that makes my jaw drop. :)

If you flatspot a tire in rFactor 2 not only will the flatspot be simulated, it'll be simulated in the spot you actually wore down. Not only that, but it will be visually represented in the spot you actually wore down.

If you are wearing out your tires and they're beginning to grain on one side, you'll see that graining on one side.

Whatever damage your tire has, you'll see it, you'll feel it.

Below (uploaded to twitpic due to size) the image is a series which show the code in it's most basic form (general tire wear).

Looks very good! I like that in one of the pics, the right tire was more worn than the left.

Speaking of depth, its nice to see how the reflections on the car are looking, also the ambulance and fire engine, spectators etc all look great, everything is spot on!

    Now we're talkin' ;-)
Great information, great pics! I wish that really works as should (LFS had flat spots for a while but they dropped that feature after some time)! Hope to see some more info about new
    tyre model!

By the way Tim, can you confirm at this stage of development, will rF 2 have individually defined 3 (at least) mirror cameras (instead of just one global, for the whole 3 mirrors, like is in rF 1)?

EDIT: Will tyre pressure also visually affect the shape of the tyre in the final rF 2?

So would this mean we can start with sticker tires and visually see the sticker wear down along with the rest of the tire?

Very cool....I really hope those aren't the final hands though, way too skinny and don't look to be gripping the wheel.

Keep in mind the paddle shifter... in which case they match the exact grip you would have on the wheel
