We've talked a couple of times about (not for rF2 release, but an update sometime in the future) where it would be possible to change texture sets based on season. SO, thinking in the long term I decided to go with a standard summer season to start with. And if we never have a chance to get to that (although I hope we will) it wouldn't be hard for folks after the fact to release time of year updates. It was previously done with rF1...

Thats a great idea, I hope to see it implemented at some point.

Since we are spying a kart track here, can that be taken as an indication that there will be something to race on one in the initial release?

Hellz ya, I like the progression I'm seeing in the tracks. Although, there is one thing that I'm not impressed with, and that's the botched arm animations on the steering wheel. It looks like the drivers whole arm is twisted over at the shoulder. Man, that sure would hurt, lol.

This of course explains why most of the shown WIP shots look so "flat". With added lighting/shading the entire scenery will benefit from more realistic contrast and depth.
Even though the screenshots look more like rF 1.5 right now, but it's great that ISI share their current stage of development with us, the community.
I think, the final product with proper lighting/shading/HDR will let my jaw drop. :)

Very nice. Small pics but you don't want anyone complaining about texture edges!

More and faster is my motto

Great progress guys! The graphics are superb. It's good to know post processing effects will be included.

Great! Please show us more of this!

So does this mean you allready made some Karts for rF2 and we will get some great kart models and physics in the standard version of the game?

That would be some good news, because for rf1 there isn't a single kart mod, that is really good and i'm looking forward for some good kart racing in a simulation!

Look great guys! And with added postFX if done properly it will no doubt look stunning, all i hope for is something to match iRacings quality tbh. And i bet you now if you were too take away all the effects from the big racing titles i wonder if they would look as good as that!

you can make the tracks look as real and perfect as possible... but I'm more interested in how the Karts physics will be..
i want them to drive like real ones.. not what was possible in rF1.. if so.. there will be tons of addon contint coming..

Very high up the priority list right now. Most of the recent internal testers added have been karting guys.
