Even if a bit disappointed I'm not surprised by chances of this year release. Anyone who worked on software projects can predict that is impossible to finish product in 2 months starting from current development stage (not ready rain, not chosen protection/distribution method etc). But I'm glad that ISI started to provide massive information about progress. I hope it means that they do everything to release rF2 out as fast as possible. Especially that even if simulation will be state-of-the-art, some parts of the product would being outdated faster than we can imagine (ie GFX or SFX technologies) Do your job best you can. I'm sure we all waiting for breath taking rF2.
If i understand correctly, I with my ADSL 2+ connection 20M down 1M up i wont be able to host like i use to in rF1. Non dedicated server has been removed. Sorry but i've got only one PC and my connexion allowed me to host 15-20 without problems. Damn shame.
You don't understand. Run the dedi on the same pc as you race, it has been done for years. You'll be fine. Try it with rf1.
Lot, lot of thanks for the interview. There're a lot of valuable information there. Gjon shed light on a lot of interesting things. Page two was specially interesting for me. In the other hand, this was the most surprising one: Wise and very true words... The rest of the things of the interview is focused on ISI or ISI products (that was the topic anyway), and it's up to them to decide their future. But this one is about all of us as a group, and we are the only responsibles of changing that to make this simracing thing better, the same or worse. It's a good thing to think about . Regards
Great interview indeed. Very informative. Note a new feature never mentioned before: the wind (Graphical? Physical?)
I just hope they postpone the release and read some of the wishlists around the net. I started one here and linked to a few others.
Mod loader/unloader... YES! It was always so annoying to install a mod and have your showroom and all other settings changed... Nice interview!
I'm sure there was notes about wind in the past. At least rF1 plugin api is ready to report wind (but contains zeroed values)
The RealRoad sounds amazing, can't wait to drive around on that. Glad to see RealFeel has made an impact too. Liked that Q&A and looking forward to the next. Not surprised we won't see the game until next year though, just hope it lands before next summer but either way I don't want a rushed product.
