First thank you all for the supports and comments to our efforts on the SPA 30's update. ------------------------------------------------ To 1939 layout request: While I understand the request, I cannot say if it will happen, because 1939 layout changes its route at the very beginning of the layout. This means we cannot simply modify any of the other two 30's AIW paths to create 1939 AIW, and you are looking at many hours of work in order to create a new proper AIW for new layout (if you have experienced with RF2's AIW system you will understand), even though it's only one route change, it cannot be simply done. In the end, it is a very long and complex track (14km). And note that although not mention the details, me & DJC spent huge amount time & work on the two new 30's AIW paths (and many other stuff) in order to bring a nicer experience for both offline & multiplayer. We literary fought our way through many technical issues & difficulties in the way, working all day long till midnight for several days, and have been having difficulty in keeping up "motivation" due to the lack of players & league activities for the past half year especially for historic content. It will be a huge pain (and lack of motivation) to re-do the whole thing again. Hope you enjoy the two brand new layouts that are already available, and happy driving.
Thank you. I had a go they look and drive good. I crashed many times but I got the grips with them in the end. If you want to know how to make the car icons with transparent backgrounds instead of the black square you have, set this line in your Player.json file to 3. Code: "Screenshot Format":3, "Screenshot Format#":"0=default (jpg), 1=bmp, 2=jpg, 3=png, 4=dds, 5=clipboard", Dev mode only.
When gfx settings are set to circuit detail medium, some houses disappear on the 1930's layout. One just after T1 The other on trackside left heading up to the hairpin Does the track have a puddle map as yet? I had set wet weather and in the HUD it said the track was very wet but water didn't really appear. Is there a gfx setting I have turned down that would effect that?
Thanks Woodee. I will check out the houses, it's an easy fix. No Puddle map but you should still get reflections (see screen shots in fist post). Check these are not set to off:-
Hi @DJCruicky, How are you friend? I sent you a PM earlier but haven't heard you back. It took me a while, but here is the long requested 1939 layout update files: https://we.tl/t-EbVGtDU8Do (Link will be expired in a few days, let me know if it needs re-upload.) All things were done and tested, you may need to regenerate Wet with drying line.rrbin as I don't know the proper procedure. Layout name is 1930's Raidillon to keep consistency with others. You can update the layout to workshop when you find time. Change log: Spoiler New layout: Belgium 1930's Raidillon Features historical Raidillon corner that was first raced in 1939, along with Malmedy Chicane & Stavelot corner from that year. Other changes: - New AIW for Raidillon layout. - Reworked cameras for Raidillon layout. - New set of realroad presets for Raidillon layout. Thanks & take care.
Version 2.15 New layout: Belgium 1930's Raidillon. Thank you to S.Victor again who made it. Features historical Raidillon corner that was first raced in 1939, along with Malmedy Chicane & Stavelot corner from that year. Other changes: New AIW for Raidillon layout. Reworked cameras for Raidillon layout. New set of realroad presets for Raidillon layout. More road side objects now appear in rear view mirror Fixes to a few textures to reduce shimmering When using low track detail, some road side houses were wrongly only showing the window frames but not the houses. thank you to Woodee for spotting this. Fixed wet road reflections for 1930s layouts. They were wrongly showing as matt. Again, thank you to Woodee for spotting this also. Workshop link in the first post. Enjoy
Too be serious I think it's all Gjon's philosophy and vision. Makes the tiniest bumps come alive. Also the exaggerated rolling resistance while creating issue (push) for slow turns improves the general drive and feel over non ISI engine. Like chalk and cheese for me. I believe that he intentionally tweaked laws of physics to make a better feeling sim.
