for the Flm09 formula (an open cockpit spec series that preceded LM3) I changed the fuel use for the cars in the SCC mod to zero fuel consumption. I did that because the FLM09 did not allow refueling. So the refueling crew would just touch the fuel hose to the car and then step back. Shortest pitstops ever for GTR2. The drawback to this hack was no shifting of weight from the emptying of the fuel tank. (annnnd, I just noticed, 10 years later, that I drove over my lolipop guy....that will hurt! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Yes Refuelling and change 4 tyres it seems to me that on previous versions (but I don't remember which ones) the AI only took a few seconds longer than me for the pits
Do you use the default Setup WITHOUT any Modifications? If you use an own Setup, with specific Pit Stop Refueling Settings for Example and don't assign it to the AI too, you can get such Effects.
Is it assigned to the AI too? You could read my Tutorial and do the necessary Steps, to ensure that the AI uses it too.
@redapg no improvement with "Fixed AI Setups":true, "Fixed AI Setups#":"whether AI use the fixed setups, only applicable if \"Fixed Setups\" is also enabled (and can be used in single player to have the AIs use your favorite setup)", "Fixed Setups":false, "Fixed Setups#":"use fixed setups specified in UserData\\<plr>\\FavoriteAndFixedSetups.gal (based on track and vehicle class)", "Fixed Upgrades":false, "Fixed Upgrades#":"whether multiplayer vehicles use the closest standard upgrade class package",
But..... ....\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\UserData\player in "FavoriteAndFixedSetups.gal" AutoLoadEntry { Track="SpaFrancorchamps" Classes="GTE GTE_BMW_M8" Session=10 // not currently used File="D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\UserData\player\Settings\Spafrancorchamps\my_ bmw_m8_gte.svm" }
Did you read my Tutorial? If yes, you should have seen: First and important Step: Open your player.JSON File, that can be found in the Folder: ..\Userdata\player and edit the following Values, that they both are set to “true”. It should look like this: "Fixed AI Setups":true, "Fixed Setups":true, And you have still set "Fixed Setups":false, EDIT The Entry Session=.... in the FavoriteAndFixedSetups.gal can be ignored. As it is written as the Comment, it is currently not in use.
My test today with "Fixed AI Setups":true and "Fixed Setups":true, SPA grand prix 1H race with 29 IA only on GTE and I am on BMW M8 GTE for this race, you need about 102 L of fuel for 1H00 pit times for me and the AIs come from leaderboad secondmonitor 1er test wiht my setup assigned to IA AIs take about 24 seconds longer than me to pit stop 2ns test wiht default setup without any modification (the default setup indicates that the amount of fuel in the tank is 50L) AIs take about 14 seconds longer than me to pit stop Interesting facts : at least 5 AIs return to the pits after 45 minutes of racing, and they also take about 14 seconds longer than I do for this stop. I'm surprised that these AIs managed to run for 45 minutes on 50L of fuel. I think they had more fuel at the start of the race. At least 3 AIs came back to the pits after 50 min of racing and they also took about 14 seconds longer than me for this stop. I think it's impossible to do a 50-minute race with only 50L of fuel. I think they had more fuel at the start of the race...maybe about 90L of fuel on a full tank. --->it all looks like bugs has anyone done 1h00 races? what's the conclusion? how much time do ia's spend in the pits do the devs have any additional information? @Devin @Coutie Thanks
are you letting the AI run practice & Q? Also don't change weather prior to race start. Keep the same weather for the start of the race as what your last practice or Q or Warmup session was. The practice is important because it allows the AI to learn their fuel mileage better.
