Hi everyone, I have a few tracks in DevMode and they all load perfectly except for Bathurst 85 which crashes to desk top. If I run the latest stable release, it works perfectly. I upgrade to the latest Release Candidate, it crashes. So I am not sure where to look for the error causing it. Lakeside, QR, Oran Park, Gnoo Blas - all load in the latest RC, but not Bathurst.... If someone can maybe steer me in a direction to look at I would appreciate it. Thanks, Mike
Does the trace file have anything useful as far as errors go? Or just (probably!) an onFatalError 11 with nothing prior?
These are the last lines....I will keep looking but no idea what to look for If I run the previous version i can edit but I love the new smooth AI 33.53s hwinput.cpp 8012: LOGISDK Initialized in HWInput::SetSteeringWheelRange() 34.18s slot.cpp 1044: sr(1,1) 34.18s setup.cpp 3416: Could not find Bathurst_1985.ini 34.46s main.cpp 343: onFatalError 11
Those lines look normal, sometimes there'll be something earlier but I think there's some crashing that doesn't show anything, too. Did you clear shaders and cbash in devmode to rule those out?
@Mike Cantwell If this Problem can not be solved, i want to offer to help a last Time. I say "a last Time", because my Posts always were ignored by you, in other Threads of you, in the Past, where i don't know why.
Hi. I honestly did not do that on purpose. Please accept my apologies. I think there is an update today? Will see if that clears it. I have not done much in the way of modding for many, many months. Part of the grieving process I guess. But I really want to get Bathurst 85 finished. I will catch up with you for sure. Thanks.
I already thought that i'm on your ignore List. OK, when it can not be solved here, please open a private Conversation with me.
The dmp file didn't load for me. I would need you to provide me with the content and see if it crashes here.
I would try... After making a backup of your .scn file. Delete the last 50% of the line items in your .scn file and see if it loads. If it still does not load, then remove more lines, and try again. Keep doing that until suddenly it loads. A simple case of elimination.
I found the error....me of course Some how a corrupted copy of the SCN file was there (No icon..just blank) as well as the good one. I went though and sorted out the file....and it loaded as normal. The only thing I need to do is change all the LOD's as they are defaulted at 10,000 and i get a huge list I need to modify. That will be the next job.....
Mr redapg has a tool for that. http://meetme.bplaced.net/rF2_onlineTools/rF2GGeninfo/scnchecklodout.php He got you covered again .
