Never asked in forum? Ok, which tracks are the longest in game or workshop? (I'm preparing a league for long distance racing) and I need to make a list (over 6 km tracks only). The list so far: Targa Florio 1967 (72 Km / 44.74 Mi) Isle of Man (60.72 Km / 37.75 Mi) Nurburgring 24 Hour (25.38 Km / 15.7 Mi) Belgium Spa Historic (14.12 Km / 8.7 Mi) Le Grand Circuit 1967 (13.6 Km / 8.4 Mi) Le Mans 1991-1996 (13.6 Km / 8.4 Mi) Dundrod 1955 (12.146 Km / 7.547 Mi) Autodrome de Linas-Montlhéry (12.5 km / 7.7 Mi) Solitude (11.40 Km / 7.089 Mi) Maastricht (8Km / 4.9 Mi) Avus 1967 (8.3 Km / 5.1 Mi) Road America (6.56 Km / 4.08 Mi) Hockenheim 1966 (6.78 Km / 4.2 Mi) Mount Panorama (6.172 Km /3.835 Mi) Longford 1967 (awaiting data)
Monaco ...............sorry for the joke. Mount Panorama (6.172 km /3.835 miles) tbh I don't know if this qualifies as long track but fun one for sure.
I'm going to make a single player series, anything over 6 km is a long track to me. (Also, how on earth did I forget Mount panorama?) Official modern Spa is not a free track, is it?
To be fair, Nordschleife is way longer than just 7.7km I would say pre-2002 Hockenheim, Longford and pre-90s AVUS all match that "+6km" description
Longford 7.242 km (4.501 miles) Montlhéry https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/french-tracks.53378/page-4#post-1100431 (I think that's the one I raced and is like the old Monza)
Thanks for pointing that out, it's my mistake. Fixed. can the track alone be bought? It's my favourite track. Avus 1963 must be a really fun drive with high powered cars Autodrome de Linas-Montlhéry added, thanks!
GPLaps is doing a championship with long tracks, we did Isle of Man some months ago, 40 cars, 6 laps (2 hour race) in a time trial format, insane, 16 cars finished... next up is Targa Florio. As far as I know there's nothing longer than Targa in terms of circuit, but for me Targa and IoM feels more like a rally than a circuit racing.
very interesting, how is the standard in online racing in this game? Gran Turismo servers are carnage.
Much better, most of the leagues are very professional, the netcode allows people to do door to door racing safely. Unfortunately the competition system doesn't have much people using, but now we have LFM, which seems to being using by more people. In the end rFactor2 was always focused more in private leagues and mods than anything else.
yep you can buy single items BUT please don't do it. always buy pack you will get much better deal this way. ofcourse if u don't want to spend more and are very specific on what to buy then go for single. rf2 store system is very problematic.
at the main menu, choose COMPETITIONS. However, for me, just now, it was offline. https://traxion.gg/how-to-join-lfm-races-in-rfactor-2/
You forgot the circuit of Charade, or Clermont-Ferrand, the french Nordschleife. A road course that was used back in the 60s for the F1 races. The original course was long 8.055 km (5005 miles). Nowadays they use only the short layout, that I think is a permanently closed road. This is an insane road that I would love to have in RF2. There is actually a laser scanned version developed for RF2 by Pixsim, but he released the track only to some friends I think. S397 should contact him. Have a look: [edit] Also, we are forgetting Monza: the original combined layout was long about 10 km (6,214 miles). Without seatbelts and with a leather helmet. Oh wait, Corti mentiond Monza already.
Well the video shows it certainly looks good in rF1... Pixsim has been busy porting the modern Charade to AC this year (see Racedepartment). Maybe he'll get back to rF2 now that S397 appears finished with making changes to the graphic environment.
I don't mind the graphic, because I'm sure that if he will release the track, some other modders will offer their help to improve it. Let's put some daisies in that grass.
