Where do you guys think they are having the most problems? I was watching them drive and they seemed to have no problem. The CTMP AIW update (the one in my Mega folder) seems to run ok. The Road Atlanta looks like they are having issues because of attacking the kerbs too hard, specially on the esses. I could make a faster path without touching the kerbs, it would be good also for wet conditions. Let me know what you think.
Did you race yourself with the Indycar in CTMP? There is also the problem with the curbs. Sometimes the AI picks up the curbs too much. Maybe the AI thinks it's a GT3?
No, only watched them, I´ll do that later. You know we have issues with CTMP trying to make any car go relatively fast. We´l´l try it anyway
Thanks for your time and help. Is not a matter of course. You have to love this sim and the hobby or it won't work. And you are a great lover. (Of this Sim.. of course.. ) Thanks for your effort.
rFactor 2 is frequently puzzling and, unfortunately, some official content is published missing the level of refinement on the AIW that can make or break a track. Mexico by Andrea's AIW, courtesy of Atomed*, seemingly has a very very good AIW line, as I have been testing GEM's LMP1 there with LMP2 and GTE in the mix and, surprisingly, I am seeing slower cars leaving space or simply avoiding to dive into the apex when I get there quicker with the LMP1s. At Monza, there are whole sections where AI awareness seems to be zero... * I have noticed, however, that at Mexico, when the AI wants to pit, it swerves violently from the racing line into the pitlane, instead of using a tighter line from the apex of the last turn. Not sure if that can be worked on or not @atomed
@vava74 I´ll have a look at it, have you noticed if they do this only when they´re alone or in other situations too?
From memory, I believe that it happens regardless of traffic. I get the impression that the pitting line diverts from the racing line well after the curb, but I could be wrong as this could be a conflict between contact avoidance and pitting.
I just checked the issue, big mistakes in the pit entry line, my bad Try this patch and tell me if it solves the issue. https://mega.nz/file/eRI21boJ#w7G1B8nvnuyzsqbLBSosX2ToCziT74LjfZiH4UY6S6g @memoNo1 I need to record the laps for the IR18 issues, that will take a little longer.
Haven't tried yet, but I get the impression that the update is over 1.1, when we are now on version 1.3. Is this correct? I don't want to break the install :-D
I don´t have that one, do you know how to pack an update? This is the AIW file, it´s only for GP with Foro Sol: https://mega.nz/file/nNAhiYAA#lWiIBd08_hI-lF0ZNjKv9FGivwFSGK8jvb9Wr6l3bII In case you test it and works I´ll do the same with National with Foro Sol and will send it to Andrea to make an update.
I am hopeless with the MAS tool :-D But I will try on the 1.1 and see how it goes. Andrea has updated Mexico, Laguna, ... to include DRS zones and/or to block it's usage, can't remember what else...
@memoNo1 Did the Indy´s have problems at CTMP when going alone or fighting? I did a race yesterday and they were pretty consistent when not fighting. Maybe adjust the king before the backstraight and the last turn would be enough.
Try this fix for CTMP, any opinions and suggestions are welcome. https://mega.nz/file/zMIFHAKK#qau4kWwGS7saALQ2Vfmjby--CcR2eFFlSbB1mCXMgHE
