Gurney value on the DPI switches back to default value after saving setup. Worried that after a driver swap the new driver is driving the wrong setting. Could this possibly be prioritised and have ready before Sebring?
Was this read by staff? Disappointing if not resolved before the next VEC race or even a response to confirm whether it will be looked at or not.
I think already commented here: https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/cadillac-dpi-diveplanes.68718/ no answer...
Just for some perspective Chris, there are issues here, that many folks consider to be equally important, that have been waiting 5 years for a fix. That does not mean your concern is not valid, it is just don't feel personally slighted. They have committed to a quarterly release program. We don't know if that means every quarter they will fix things or just add more DLC for sale. But expecting this one thing to be addressed ahead of alllll the other unfinished, broken, cursed parts of rF2 is, from an old hand's view, only setting yourself up for disappointment. VEC has a connection to S397 so who knows, you may see something.
Well, I think that this problem when you save your settings should be very very easy to solve, but maybe I'm wrong, I'm not a software programmer... who knows, maybe by 2030??
And I was going to suggest, use whatever the default setting is. That way, it won't change. Might cost a tiny bit in lap times but would avoid the big snafu when you change drivers.
I know where this bug come from. Fender setting has different name in .hdv and .svm file (probably due to a wrong porting of rf1 features). So when you save your setup ingame the value get saved in a string that has different name, and so it will not be loaded correctly next time. This bug has been there since day 1
I don't know since i am not a programmer or an expert in coding. But i think it should be not so hard
Thanks for the report, I'm a little late, but I can reproduce this. Edit: Actually, looking at the setup in a text editor, it looks like it loads the correct setting, but doesn't change the name.
