Hi, I put this thread on so anyone like me who really dreams about having this track in rfactor2 can also put his request in here.. for some day have an authorized conversion of it. You may say I'm a dreamer.. but I'm not the only one What a magnificent track though.. even if we dont get it in rf2. cheers guys
I´m with you. A long time ago, i asked the guy from F3 classic tracks, who released the Südschleife and Betonschleife, and he told me, that it´s an upcoming project by him, but sadly no news about this
I know theres an rf1 versión (is this the same from gpl?) but I can't access the .más gmts and maps to convert it to rf2. And I guess it wouldn't be authorize either way.
Track in AC is beautiful. Authors have done a good job. Converting is possible, it will be a long process, because of the size of the track. But in addition to getting permission from the authors of the track in AC, it will take a lot of time to add environment objects, such as trees. And AC they are made according to the principle of procedural generation and, accordingly, there are no 3d models

Converted and improved for Assetto Corsa by me. Is the track you share the one merged and improved by kackbratze for rfactor1?

Okey, I think that track is the modern nordchleife with the guardrails removed and the curbs painted with grass texture. I would like to see the merged and improved version by Kackbratze... maybe kackbratze version is more similar to this asseto corsa track. If anyone knows what version that is. Please share Regards

It has 4 different track-variations of the Nürburgring: "Nordschleife" (northern loop), "Südschleife" (southern loop), "Betonschleife" (concrete loop) and the whole "Gesamtstrecke" (common track / full track). As v0.9 suggests, it is not the final version. It is fully capable of running, up to 48 pits (more to come in a later version perhaps). Looking at the asseto corsa version it seems as it has the modern version curbs with a dirt texture on it. Rfactor version has a green color tainted over the modern curbs. The trees a side objects in asseto corsa are pretty cool and help a lot with ambientation.
Heres a link to the converted track. It is the DevMod folder. There are a few errors with some materials and the car falls through some grass material/objects. I no longer have a wheel to really test it. nut this could be a good starting point. The track would not load at first.. a few prompt windows show a problem with materials in TDF. Fixed grass terrain. The following task is big. Every trackmesh includes some grass and the rumble strips. This parts have to be detached from the asphalt into separated objects. Weird colors shown on track if not detached. There are more than 130 track object so it would take me a couple of days. But the track is raceable now. Still some issue with materials tdf while loading. After detaching the rumble strips it would be nice to apply some dirt material on them. Really thows you off seeing modern curbs.
juanarg70, nice work on Nords, in a hope of saving you some work, i converted Kens Nords75 a couple of years ago for my own use. Nords75 ver0.84 made some changes today in addition to above: rearranged and added few objects some material settings changed more shadowing some tex changes fixed some alpha sort probs runs ok but Still lots of work to be completed.There is a clipping problem, that i never fully cured( strange phantom trees). Many textures can still be improved. Shadows in there hundreds to be added, PBR settings need to be included. Object diff/spec/amb and fres need redoing. GPL flashbacks, so many 'oh shit' moments, so rewarding. There was no point letting any friends try it as they would be facing backwards immediately. lol
I just tried it with the 917. What a blast, the road texture feels fantastic. The AI was pretty good too, with only a few conflicting points. Some fixes here, some there and we've got a new classic gem. Thank you @philrob , you made my day.
