Hi, i've found the problem. it's not my tracks it's the talent file i think. The rcd packed in the 189 update use some extreme values for the drivers like speed=4 or qualyspeed=4. Normaly, i use values from 80 to 100. When i just use the 188 version without the talent, it's working good. If you want to balance the ai, you should consider the car HDV itself, the tyre physics for ai (TBC) and the rcd in final step. And default speed/qualyspeed line can also have an impact in RCD for drivers that are not in the list (other cars btw). I can make a rcd file but not today and it's always a big work when you try to balance the ai. (My 1986 championship edition is a good example of that ) Cheers Hope it helps or am right
Tried 1993 Mod and that has talent files too - and had same problems but only on your tracks - on other tracks ok, as this 1992 mod works on other tracks - tried 1998 mod without talent files - working ok on your track - so it seems that your tracks have problems in combination with talent files - postet at your 1980 Mods project the download links (steam workshop) for the 1993 mod and talent files - so maybe you find something in there. - sorry for off topic
I haven't done any track modding but I have played a bit with talent files. From what I remember the difference in lap times for a driver with a speed of 1 and a driver with a speed of 100 is about 4 seconds per lap. Is there some setting in the track files that maybe amplifying the differences in speed values ?
Yeah, you are right, but in this mod case, only some drivers (always the same in fact) had problems. Also, when changing the talent, all problems goes away, so it's a very strange bug really. Need to go deeper on that
i really like this mod at the beginning of rf2; it was almost in 2013/2014 thanks to the site to restore it to our memory
Hi guys, all the cars are made now and ready for release. It's a little taste of what you will see when we will release our (@doddynco and i)."F1 1986 Historical Edition" mod and it serve as a little publicity too I've done all cars with PBR updates and also some little tweaks in tyres an physics. Nothing very deep but i felt cars where a bit too understeer on fast corners. Now the "nervous" rear stay but you can have a more precise control in turn entry, the drift and less suffer from understeer in fast corners. (Still depends also of teams and setup of course) I'm working on the Talent file now. Not take so long. Anyway, what do you think of releasing it on steam for easier diffuse? What ASR thinks of what everyone have done since now? I'll ask them and tell you asap Stay tuned
@Rui Santos I'm just fine tuning some things but yes, it's pretty ready. However, i wait for the answer from @Sderenno to go further. I've a lot of consideration of others work and ASR have made the big job doing these cars. Hope to receive an answer quickly Cheers Ps: if someone have other contacts from ASR and could facilitate things, that would be great too
