    Hello all.

I am looking for colleagues who already own BeamNG.
So far I only see crash videos on YT.
But is this sim also suitable as a racing simulator?
You always hear that it is very realistic.
Even with VorpX it is suitable for VR.
However, there are a few questions.

Is it very complicated to set up races?
How is the FFB compared to rF2?
And is it worth it at all?
    I don't know.

It would be nice if anyone could share their experiences.

I tried BeamNG. I'm not sure if I'm the only one who thinks this, but I thought the handling felt kind of like rF2. Just less stable, especially catching oversteer. It's probably doable on a high end wheel, but on a G27 everything was a bit too vauge to push on hard like you can in rF2. I played it for a bit and had fun, but then I realized that really the handling/tire model is just all-round better in rF2 so I should just play rF2. One thing that I liked about BeamNG though, is that the engine really felt like it was mechanically connected to the rear wheels. I remember seeing the tachometer bounching around/vibrating extrememly rapidly and just generally feeling like the engine and rear tires where solidly connected together whcih was cool. Sometimes I don't get that in rF2, I guess probably because it dosn't have a proper transmission model. I'll give it a go again, it's a very good driving simulator, but at this stage I don't think it's a substitute for a racing simulator. I do recommend giving it a go though.

Looks like a graphically updated SODA Off Road Racing.

Yes unfortunately it doesn't work as well as expected with the VorpX.
I hope there will be VR support soon.
I am curious where the development will go.
Definitely unbeatable in terms of diversity.
but at the moment it is used more or only as a crash simulator.

I tested and it is really very good, I recommend :

    1) Driving physics :

Not bad at all, relatively consistent.

    2) FFB pretty good.

    3) Very pleasant graphics in 4K full ultra.

    4) Sounds fairly average cars, but other sounds pretty good.

    5) Crash physics :

    Incredible, excellent.

    6) AI :

    Pretty good.

    7) Open environment : absolutely brilliant. Extremely numerous possibilities.

    7) Very entertaining.

In short, buy, it's really worth it.

I have this on my steam wishlist. I may just get it, for something different to do. I heard there are tons of mods available for it.
