I hope S397 is monitoring this thread. Cselt is making small and (I assume) relatively easy tweaks to the UI AND LOOK HOW HAPPY PEOPLE ARE!
He ask for donation I wouldn't call that asking for money. He doing this on his own time and should get something for it. C.E. responded in less then a day to some guy about Corvette c8 ffb when he should be responded to threads like this. That is just my opinion okay.
thanks man sad that u are not able to add anything like server content checker/filter :/ or at least option to exclude servers with missing content from list because I think this is the biggest problem of whole rF2
Can S397 hire him??? I mean...look at the UI here! Looks/works way better with some well thinked tweaks/additions and donations are well deserved (some small changes can be very time consuming). On the other hand this reminds me how closed beta program is detrimental for rf2... open beta would bring more users feedback or projects like this (with mutual benefit for everyone).
You are going to get a lot of requests methinks . Any chance you could add a lap counter in the replay window?
While talking replays, is it possible to add steering and pedal inputs, like it is in the old UI replays?
Is there any way to make the suspension settings page so that you can see both the front and rear settings without scrolling? Like make the text and spacing smaller? Drives me crazy that you can't just look at it all on one page. This was the final straw that sent me back to the old UI. Thanks!
I've just tried the new chatbox, it does not seem to be working properly. I'm an admin of a race series so I need to make myself admin via the chatbox, didn't do anything in the new window after i put the command in, did it again, still nothing. So I used the hidden chatbox and it worked. I hope you can fix this, and can you make your chatbox scroll when there is a new input. Thanks in advance. SS
Guys, I'm not doing this for the money (I received 5€ donation so far ), I'm doing this because I wanted to solve some annoying issues with the new UI and when I achieved I wanted to share with you. If you can donate me that encourages me to follow and try to fix more issues, but it's totally ok just to use my mods. E.g.: I have never used the opponent filter before so I didn't know that's an issue, but I tried to fix it, because someone asked for. At first I targeted the low hanging fruits to make people happy, but I have a few more ideas to continue and add more features to the UI
@Cest Keep it up! You're doing a great service to the rF2 community Also, I did post a little bug I found with the opponent filter in this thread - don't know if you saw it...
Hey thanks for doing this man. I find the thread title really funny and also spot on. The "better ui" really tells it all. It is amazing that so soon after UI release you already showed some simple solutions, like for example eliminating scroll bar in the garage. Which shows that what S397 offers is up to a weird decisions, and not some technological or time resources problem. If you would manage to get whole garage menu sorted out to be actually rational, and quick to use then I would maybe not be unhappy to switch to new UI. Also, I wonder would it be possible just to plug in old interface in the new UI ?
Yes I saw it, it's on my todo list, but for that I need to use a different approach to solve which is a little bit tricky. I focused on the chat panel but will go back and try to fix.
First of all congrats and thank you for your AMAZING work on the UI, this is what S397 shoud've done before make it default! Any chance to make it work full screen in ultrawide monitors? Thanks!
What's the problem with the ultrawide monitor? Unfortunately I have only a FullHD monitor where I can test.
Problem with ultrawide monitors is because you don't have the UI in the whole screen, only on center with black borders (space not used by UI)... An example...
In which setup? I tried to change resolution of the UI and it just stretched it, which looks awful...
