So good to see you Chief and Postipate back at it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Donation coming your way.
Any chance you gonna redo the -79 mod too?
I mean the physics are already 10/10 with the GP-79 ( please leave it as it is ) but in VR i get this strange distortion happening with the steering wheel, and the cockpit is bit outdated.
I dont really mind it. I absolutely love driving the cars, but since you are back at work....

I have done that now. Mod shows as downloaded in the packages but the cars are not showing up in the UI when I try to choose a vehicle.

Have you set the series to be "All cars and tracks"?

The mod file does not go to the packages folder at any time if you subscribe via Steam. Subscribe, wait for the download to finish. The file(s) are placed in a temp folder somewhere in the steam folders (workshop). When you load rF2, it synchs (assuming you are connected). This installs whatever was subscribed/downloaded. If you are not online when you start the launcher, nothing will happen.

The packages folder are for manual installation of rfcmp files you downloaded (e.g., from ISR or RD or any other source, can also work for Steam downloaded files). You can place mod files there, then manually install from the rF2 launcher.

Either route, the final check is to go to the installed folder. See if the vehicle is there.

Finally, there were old F1 mods on Steam that did not work. But someone uploaded to Steam a newer F1 79 a few months back with some graphics updates. That one should work.

Nothing from the Steam download is showing up in the "installed" folders. I have unsubscribed and resubscribed twice with no luck.

I don't know if your install has other problems but to help you eliminate other possibilities, do the following:

Uninstall any F1 79 in the launcher packages section if it shows up there. This should delete the files from the /installed folder.

Close rF2. Open Steam (client, not browser to be safe) to workshop. Click subscribe (unsubscribe first to be safe). When you subscribe, you should see that it is downloading (bottom of steam client should show downloading, you can check out the download manager by clicking). Wait for it to finish before lauching rF2.

Once download is done, check steamapp/workshop/content/365960. Your new files should be there. If not there, something is wrong with your subscribe process. If files are there, start the rF2 launcher. You should see "auto-synching" or words to that effect. If you do not see it, I do not know reason (maybe that also flashes by quickly). Launching rF2 proper should show the vehicles. If not there, I have no idea.

If you want, you can copy the rfcmp file from /content to the /packages folder on the rf2 install folder. Then open rF2 launcher, click on packages. F1 79 should show up (might need refresh list). Select, install. It should say "successful" else error message. If ok, lauch rF2 proper. You should see the vehicle in your list. If not there, I also have no idea.

The other one is verify files integrity on Steam, if nothing else is working.
