Hi thanks for this nice tool. I'd love to use it but unfortunately it only works partially for me. Generally on straights the flash works, but every time I hit the brake, it doesn't recognize the flash. Then sometimes when I hit the button again, still braking, it works, sometimes it takes multiple button presses to get it to work. When I hit H whilst braking it accepts the input, so I believe that something is amiss with the communication of the plugin with the simulator. Also in corners the flash soetimes doesn't work.
Hi, I've been enjoying using this. It was working fine earlier in the year, but its been a mixed bag recently. I've been using it for some online league endurance racing events in LMP2, it works when practicing on the race servers leading upto the event, but for whatever reason its failed to work on race day when i really could do with it. Can't think why this would be? Problem is on race day you can't really experiment or test as you are only allowed in the server when your driving.
I don’t have an answer for either of those two problems or even any idea where to start looking. There will be a new version soon-ish but I don’t expect it to affect fundamental issues like those.
........ [Flash headlights] controller = Thrustmaster TX Racing Wheel control = 8 .... but still not working. Any idea?
hey. This looks like a great app. But I am getting an error that I think is due to my RF2 files being on a drive that isn't C. Is there a way to tell the app to look where I have the game installed? Thanks! Art
Yes, see rF2headlights\headlightControls.ini, there's a line in there Code: controller_file = %ProgramFiles(x86)%/Steam/steamapps/common/rFactor 2/Userdata/player/controller.json
OK. I tried putting my full game directory in there but no joy. Is there a ine I need to add to the Controller.json file? Sorry for the Newbie questions. Outside of SimRacings, I work on Macs all day. My edit to headlightContols.ini: controller_file = f:/ProgramFiles(x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/rFactor 2/Userdata/player/controller.json
Where are you running it from. I've dropped the rF2Headlights.exe file straight into my Bin64 folder (same one where the rFactor2.exe is)
(It shouldn't matter where the exe file is) I think that should be Code: controller_file = f:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/rFactor 2/Userdata/player/controller.json with spaces.
Firstly, thanks for this, the sim should have it as default but this is the next best thing I encountered an odd issue when I was part of a team sharing 1 car The first person to drive the car (me included if I do the first stint) would have no issue and the lights would flash correctly. In rfactor 2, to swap drivers the next person joins the server as a spectator and then joins the driver in the car, control then swaps to the non driving spectator during a pit stop and the driver becomes the spectator The new driver isn't able to flash headlights, the checkboxes on the program don't show him as being on track Any ideas? Dave
I think that has already been reported and I wasn't able to find the cause (not helped by never having done a driver swap myself) Yes, https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/headlight-controls.63904/page-6#post-1027992
i think because the new ui see's the whole time the same driver. Thats also the problem in the replay after a endurancerace
@Seven Smiles Thank you for this ! it's working great !! Is there any option to control the flashing time ? Not the on time but the times it flashes..
No, I found the number of times specified in the rules so left it fixed. You can press it twice... or edit the program to do what you want
