For the Upgrades.ini and Spinner.gen, you don't have to take care for the Instance Names of the Grafics gen file. To get the Changes of Upgrades visible in the Showroom, create own Instances with another Name for it in the Spinner gen and link these in the Upgrades.ini. You don't have to use SLOT... there. The linked Instances in the Upgrades.ini don't have to match the Instance Names in the Grafics gen file. They only have to match the Instance Names in the Spinner gen, to get it working properly in the Showroom and on Track.
@ChiefWiggum Excellent project, mate But, be careful with proportions ( like You had to do later with Alfa 33 ): The airscoop of cars are too high and not properly dimensioned. See the Ferrari below, for example, and your previous screen. Many thanks for your RF2 works
Thanks for explaining Chief, 70's Indy car you say ??, love to see a mid 70's Foyt Coyote, Penske, Wildcat etc. in rF2, it's never been done before.
@jymp the only thing I can offer to use the same carbody, maybe with different Sidepods and different Wings, to have a look a like Indycar form the 70's @Duncan we have some Options to create Carsets, maybe we can do three different Eras, maybe High Wing, big Airboxes, late 70's, or something like that
Ok understand Chief, oh well, can still use the 73' USAC Indycar mod for rF1 by Dave Sabre, I think ? Dave even gave his blessing the 73' could be ported to rF2, so far hasn't been though.
What's wrong here is the driver size of head/helmet... Chronical rF2 problem, not sure if modders can change this...
This adds to the unproportional look, but the airscoop is indeed a bit bigger, than on the photo, also the rear tyres seem smaller on the rF2 picture, but the F1 cars of this time period were changing rear tyre size quite often indeed, afaik.
Driver/helmet size is changeable, but probably need edit bones and animation. "F1 LEGENDS RACING" is one of the mod that uses a slightly larger driver model.
I really look forward to these cars! I think they will be a great category! I hope that with all the combinations I can make about 200 cars for green hell hahahaha
Just some crazy brainstorming; I know it's about the 70s, but what about some retro-retro or retro-modern mashups? Like mixing this 70s car with 2000ish parts or also 1930ish parts?
yeah, I thought also on a 80's Style Mod, but first I will look how it goes with this cars, I had to sort out some things with the Upgrade files etc., big thank to svictor, he helped me out, but it runs very well now.
