I am using Steam to purchase this
and when I go to cart, it still shows the price before 50%
so I hesitate to complete it..

At which point is the 50% applied ??

    am i doing something wrong?

I beleive the 50% is the price shown. 50% of the two GT3 packs at regular price = the 50% price shown at the store.

after checking, I think I should just get Assetto Corsa Competizione
for GT3 since its about the same price,

@paulRubens if you've looked in the past you would have seen 2 GT3 packs - "GT3 Pack" and "GT3 Challengers Pack".

These are now combined into the GT3 Pack.

So it is half price, but might look full price because it's double what it was previously. And the 50% off is shown the whole time - it doesn't halve when you go to buy it.

Choosing a game based on the content you want is an interesting approach, I'll give you that.

ACC is a great game, it makes sense to choose it for GT3 (GT4 coming). The graphics though can be very demanding, Unreal engine is definitely made for 4k, in 1080 ACC looks like crap. And has bugs with particular combos, like in my case. I can't play it at more than 40 fps since the last patches (and my alienware is a beast).
I'd approach ACC carefully, is buggy as f*** in the graphic side. What is your combo?

It all depends of what you want to do with the GT3 cars. There isn't that single ultimate form of GT3 racing. ACC is a very nice game with great sounds, FFB and a good track and car selection, wich is limited though by the games nature. I mean, you will still be very busy to master everything in the sim and there is the GT4 pack comming soon, but if you want to have some multiclass racing with GT3 cars, it's not really a good platform and there are no ways to expand the track selection. If for example IMSA is your thing, then rF2 might be a better option in what cars and tracks are available from different sources and how you can set up races with the season skinpacks from Racedepartement. If Blancpain, GT World Series or British GT are your thing, then I would recommend ACC + very good PC. :D

    yes agree.
in this case, I was just about to buy GT3 pack
and it seems the price of the DLC is equal to ACC
then I will just get ACC.
it has the tracks AND cars.
plus I get to try out a new game.

GT3 is already so fast, GT4 would be EVEN faster??
I am a bit confused with their classification.

GT4 is a lower spec car and slower than GT3.
