I don’t have this problem with other tracks.

New tracks like Nurburgring are more heavy. You have an ultra powerful GPU, you just have to lower the graphics a bit.

I just have one thing to reproach to S397 is not to optimize performance enough under the following conditions :

24H cycle, rain, number and visible AI.

And indeed it is necessary to optimize more and more VR, but the 2 circuits that you mention are not specifically bad for VR but for screens too.

    PS
Certain places of these circuits are true badly optimized.

I saw that you edited the bridge that goes over the mid 2000s track. That would be a good layout to be added.

Elbo, Firstly I’d check to see if there are any vmods using the older stuff and uninstall that first, then I’d have a look at that 1.85b, looks like it may be a skinpack/league mod, unsubscribe/uninstall if it is and then you should be good to uninstall 1.85, then 1.84

Were the updated car versions used in the virtual LM 24h event? I assume yes because good BoP etc. is must have in such official events .

    How odd,
If I understand the quote, it has to do with an incompetent person not realizing they are incompetent. Hells bells, what do they call a person like me who KNOWS he is incompetent?

The Dunning Kruger effect occurs, because with less knowledge, you also don't get the actual knowledge of how much knowledge you could still archieve, because you are not knowledgeable enough yet to know. :D

That's why people with semi to low developed knowledge/skills tend to overestimate themselves. This affects us all. There are basically no exceptions. The best way to counteract this, is to increase knowledge and educate further into a topic.

That's why i could "dunning kruger this" topic hard, because i don't know, if "reduced engine braking" is actually fixing the "low engine inertia" issue completely in rF2 because of lack of knowledge.^^

When you know, you are incompetent, it's called "wise". :D

I would think INCREASING the engine inertia would be the correct fix. Ever so slightly slow down how fast an engine can spin up and then spin down.

Reducing engine brake counteracts fast dropping revs, because the engine brakes itself less.

Increasing engine inertia is also reduced engine braking (under lifting). A heavier flywheel keeps on spinning a bit longer, for example. :)

You should find it under the Aston GTEs, i drove it already.
Try resubscribing the car in the workshop, maybe?

LOL Thanks for that! I must've had a brain fart and was looking under Porsche section for some reason. I've found it now. :)

I've only driven the Porsche so far, at Silverstone (the track is looking really good, btw). Default setup wasn't great, but with a few little tweaks I felt the car was driving really nicely. But, it still wants to stall when you leave your garage. I dunno, it just doesn't seem right. Different classes, I know, but none of the GT3s are like this.

I know it's illegal to spin your wheels when leaving the pits at Le Mans but this seems like a very extreme solution! :p

Yeah, the RSR is extraordinary hard to start from standing still. There is a very tight margin of clutch bite, you have to nail. After some reports by another user, auto-clutch is working even worse, i have not tested this by myself, though.
