Well you have now. With such a job I could see myself do 1500 aswell, I guess. Explains a lot.

End of Feb will see Nola as a track addition and dx11 and vr was said to arrive in q1 2017 iirc.

I am currently designing a new full motion cockpit for VR. I have a first draft and am now down sizing it and hopefully reasonably priced enough for you guys.

My post here got quoted in AC 'weight transfer'.

AC is boring as hell indeed! I have to watch what I'm saying. :)

Thanks for the pics. Can't wait!!!:):)

    I finally found the problem!!

I seems some of our computers have a problem with threading in Assetto Corsa.

In Content Manager, Optimization and CPU and GPU check off all the boxes except merge meshes. It's about a dozen boxs.

This turned on physics in AC by a lot. Apart from that I use filter 100% in steering, which smooths out the signal and feels better to me.

My biggest complaint with AC in the past was, I couldn't drive as hard as rF2, or a real car.

    Not a problem anymore.

The two sims are good and bad depending on taste but now, at least, AC is working as it was designed to and I can enjoy all the mods and community races.

Which is better? I don't care. Never really have cared. I knew AC wasn't working as intended and that has been my only goal all along. Why all this childish banter, I don't understand?
But this is a close to this search. I hope this helps others who have had the same frustrations I had?

Sorry to ping such an old thread but thought it appropriate to share my findings here!
Hopefully a lot of us here have this threading problem with AC? It was like getting a whole new sim and all these mods.

Race simulators! What a great hobby!!
Hope this finds all of you well?

How can they say that AC is boring?

I've been on AC this past week, just for the sake of variety more than anything.

The career mode is a bit pants, but as a hotlapper it suits my needs more than RF2 does with the use of RSR etc.

Will try the above "fix" on mine and see if it makes any difference.

It definitely had an effect. I think windows defender is screwing with it once in awhile too?
    Sometimes it jitters.
Reload and it's fine. Not sure what else it could be?
And since there isn't a physics frame rate its hard to prove it's affecting it but it feels like it is.
I know less physics has less traction, which makes sense. Less tire touching the road. Less steering inputs, less responsive equals floaty feel.

I hope you have some luck!
The 70's Can Am Porsche Spider was a car I noticed a big difference. It went from feeling like driving a sheet of paper to these big front tires crabbing and chirping into the corners. Much more lively.
I also got noticable more FPS, which is nice.
    Really considering a CPU upgrade.
But yeah! We paid for this sim. It's nice to be able to use!

Can't say you are wrong, but that must indeed be very unique case.

Now I don't play AC as much as I used to. But as I remember I had one major car handling issue during my experience and it lasted few months. For some reason few settings got messed up in content manager app. For few months I was driving cars that in game didn't match with my physical steering rotations, and I was just to stupid to notice it earlier. That thing made me look pretty awful in many online races lol

    That's interesting.
I have a wheel degree running amok, sounds similar. I have to set it manually sometimes.
But as far as Bitdefender it did black screen Steam and Steam was in Bitdefender quarantine.
As far as this threading issue is a separate problem that I think I still don't have resolved 100%? But the optimization in CM helps a lot, which pin points the problem only Stefano himself could understand.

The steering degree problem is caused by rF2, rF2 changes the profile settings depending on the degrees that the car you choose has. When he returns to AC the degrees are wrong. I know that this problem had a solution modifying a file but I don't remember what it is.

The issue I had was not affected by rFactor or Automobilista, I for some reason had enabled really messed up setting in content manager.

I don't remember which value stops rF2 from messing up profilers degree. I think it is one of those from controller.json:

    "Steering Wheel Maximum Rotation Default":1080,
"Steering Wheel Maximum Rotation Default#":"Default maximum wheel range to use when not read from driver, from 40 to 1440 degrees",
"Steering Wheel Maximum Rotation from Driver":false,
"Steering Wheel Maximum Rotation from Driver#":"Whether to read the steering wheel rotation from the wheel driver, if possible",

    "Steering Wheel Range":972,
"Steering Wheel Range#":"Degrees of steering wheel rotation, both visual and physical (if available)",
    "Steering Wheel Software Rotation":true,
"Steering Wheel Software Rotation#":"Whether to limit the maximum steering wheel rotation in software",

It's not really that big of a deal. Once I get used to checking it! Lol!
