RFactor 2 doesn't exactly have a wide variety of (at least accessible) content compared to content for ACC; Ginetta GT4 Supercup; Mini Challenge, etc. GT4 is one of the classes that rF2 really lacks and really needs, in my own opinion. But all we have in the form of a GT4 car that is almost a decade old and nobody uses in championships today. I've seen discussions about GT4 cars in rF2 but nothing about any development of them or anything and it's kind of sad because GT4 is really prominent in racing. GT4's been around for a while now yet we've only had one mod that has aged massively. To the point; I'm asking if anyone knows of any GT4 projects or anything like that.

You're not very funny. So you can go ahead and leave and I'll wait for a serious person to reply.

Almost 1 year or maybe 7 months ago, the S397 boss Marcel Offermans had said that there would be either a TC pack (or 1 car) or GT4 pack (or 1 car) soon.

Some people in the community seem to think that S397 has changed its mind on this subject.

Yea, almost 1 year ago. I do not believe they changed their plans. I see no reason doing that.

I hope you're right, for multiclass offline races it would be great.

    I meant FIA WTCR.
Don't know much this category, but probably a lot of fun + some FWD which strongly lack on rF2 (official et update).

FIA WTCR is part of the raceroom game so i seriously doubt it will appear officially in rF2.

An FIA WTCR is already in rFactor2 anyway, by Tommy78. I would prefer the GT4 anyway.

Some modern official GT4 Cars will be very nice!
I suspect however that S397 will deal with the versions of the Ferrari 488 Evo GTE and GT3, because next month the official virtual 24H LeMans takes place. I hope that something will happen afterwards in relation to the GT4 class.

GT4 tackles a problem which we don't have in simracing. High costs.
That's really the only reason GT4 exists in the first place.
To be honest I'm not a big fan of GT4 cars (in simracing). Not because they are not fun, or slow or something
but because they are "just" GT3 cars with less power and downforce.
We really have no "need" to step down from GT3s.
If you think GT4 are suddenly better or more fun than GT3s I think you gonna be disappointed.
So I would prefer TCR cars, because they have a unique handling and are not just castrated GT3s.

GT4 cars are essentially just roadcars but fitted with a spoiler but they're still fun. Also it's good to have a different class in something like British GT, last year, GT4 numbers were massive, it's cheaper too for a lot of people.

two different licences. That will be licenced from Audi. FIA WTCR will be a licence in itself then all the cars/manufacturers seperate. Unless they can get it to cover the cars and manufacturers. BTCC would be interesting but not sure if thats a series that S397 could take on, on their own. Touring cars generally have a descent sized following and can be pretty fun to drive in sims.

I could see S397 doing a TCR pack eventually, they are a popular type of car and that popularity has spread into many championships whether they be large or small and also TCR being put into other pre-existing series like 24H Series and BaTCC (Baltic).

Interesting. Do you have any serious source for claiming GT4s castrated GT3s :D

Link to Jan Seyffarth, former AMG-GT3 driver and actively involved in GT4 development. The cars are pretty much different. GT4 is a race version of the roadcar, whereas the GT3 is a unique developed car. Only a few parts are equal.
Furthermore Jan states how much fun it is to work with the GT4. GT3 is like driving on rails. Btw...you know Aris, Physics guy from Kunos? Asked in terms of the future GT4s in ACC he told they are so much more interesting to drive.
This is what I expect from a GT4-class as well.

So GT4 should be more interesting to drive than GT3?
    That doesn't say anything :p
