I recorded a 3 laps race in VR using 10 AI at Imola.
All graphics settings set to high/ultra using the MP4/13

I am very happy with the oculus performance , flat 80 FPS..

I have not idea what is going on but it seems RF2 is better optimized after the last updates.

( if I select the GT3/GTE I get framedrops straight away though)

I know it's a little long but can you give your exact parameters ?

With visible AI, time of day and timescale, auto detail FPS, nvidia control panel and especially supersampling + AA. If it's a little long, it doesn't matter, I'm just curious.

    So you have a gtx 1070 + i7 8700?

All the tracks from Reiza are perfectly optimized for VR.... the same think with Verginia.

    @DrivingFast these are my settings.
(bear in mind that it seems I can run the game at this performance only using the MClaren MP4/13 and only in certain tracks)
also, I have installed the game on my SSD drive

Try middle one, "use advanced 3d settings", then those above settings (two pics above) will start to do something, those settings are pretty ok, imo, that antialiasing mode - override is good choice for vr, slightly coarser image, but way more fps than rF2 own.

    Quick question.

    Using Rift-S.

Can I move HUD items around the screen in VR or at least get all positioned as I want for VR? HUD items are at my feet and the virtual mirror is up in the sky.

    Thanks

Try changing the monitor resolution in rf2 config.

Has performance worsen for you guys with the new Build?
I cannot keep the same Framerate in VR with same settings...

edit : just realized that I had selected more than 9 AI.

It seems to be the threshold for my PC configuration.

I have noticed that I cannot get working the overlay CPU/GPU when in VR.
Does it work for you ?

VR FPS really improved here with new build (classic UI) - CV1 - using my old 3770K stock - 1070TI - 32 GB RAM - opencomposite dll - even using mirrors now and still better FPS than before without - using one step up in almost every RF2 setting - even shadows and reflections. No special settings in NVidia driver - maybe will try there too. Deleted player.json and using default generated new one - no changes in the new one yet.

This explains my performance boost, from Marcel on RD:

Since build 1118 we have shifted more load from the CPU to the GPU so if you have a relatively beefy GPU you will probably see a slight improvement in framerates overall.

    Hi Legends,
I am hoping someone can help me disable ASW on a Rift S HMD.

I am currently running OTT (oculus tray tool) and have created a profile for Rfactor 2 using the bin64 / rfactor2.exe. ASW is disabled in there but in game (solo) it hits 45hz max.
There is no bottlenecking going on as I have a RTX 2080ti overclocked on water cooling and lowered all settings to eliminate any bottlenecking.

Is there a config file or some way to disable it? It is unplayable with ASW turned on.

    Many thanks in advance. :D

    1) Go to programs - > oculus - > search oculus debug tool

    2) Open it in administrator

    3) Then go to asynchronus...... And put OFF

((4)) Not sure but I think you perhaps have to let oculus debug tool ON when you run rF2.
