Hi there , In the Controller.json file I edited the "Brake effects on steer axis" line from 0 to 1. My question is how to make this change permanent? Because now if I load my controller preset in the game, the value is reset to 0. By the way It would be cool to have these settings in game.
In-game if you have selected and loaded a preset profile, assign all your buttons,wheel and pedals then Save that profile and, give it a unique name, then I like to Load it. Close rF2. Go to \Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\UserData\Controller\your_unique_named.json Open your json and edit that for whatever you want, save it. Go back in game and Load your profile again. You shouldn't edit the preset default profiles or the Controller,json.
