Hello all, This satursday i participated to the 8H of Interlagos in LMP2 with Oreca 07. I activated just before the race trace files with the command "write trace=2" on the launcher. After 45 laps, during the race, my car go back to pit instantly, no freeze, no bug or something like this. This is the video for showing that : I need to know what happened, i don't want to start again... It's the first time i see that, last race at Imola, i got a connection lost without losing my internet conection... In attachment, this is the 2 logs files, if someone can tell me what happened. Thanks a lot
First thing that comes to mind is your system ram filling up and the sim trying to dump the replay to disk. Just an un-informed guess tho. I'll take a look at the files but hopefully others will as well. Perhaps you can contact the server host and ask if his log files show any reason.
That looks strange. I can not see a reason for that in the uploaded trace. Normally i set a trace to level 3 or 4, not 2. I suppose a higher level provides more informations, but i have never compared the output. Can you also upload the result file of that session? I'm not sure if things like a disconnect or other events are stored in the result file, but who knows.
Hi, i have 16Go of RAM, i think it's enough for Rf2, no ? I can set travel to 3 or 4, but i saw on another forum 2 is enough. The result file of the session in UserData/log/result ? If yes, this is on weTransfer (because the forum don't want to upload) : https://we.tl/t-GTxCtWGpJq Ok, 2 is enough so ? In trace log, there is : 10894.06s NetComm.cpp 6041: reloading slot because control type is wrong
Should be, the best way to test would be to turn off replays and attempt a similar event. If you are using telemetry, I guess ensure you have the latest version of the damplugin(sorry, can't remember the name) this one may be difficult to solve since we haven't seen others report the same issue.
Do a trace in dev mode at 2 then another at 3 and see if there is any difference. Sorry for the huge thread hijack.
No. In public buids 2 and 3 are the same but in private builds is different. Then the 3 is useful for both (public and private)
In single player it don't matters if i set 2, 3 or 4, the file is always the same. In devmode it's a problem, because trace=3 is hardcoded and when i set it to trace=2 in the launcher, both commands are written in the trace file, so i can not say if it's a level 2 or level 3 trace. The files are the same too. But following MO's statement, it's level 2 anyway.
Sorry Lionel, we've covered all the easy things. Perhaps cycling your internet connection/modem off prior to racing, letting it reconnect and reset. I have had my video card lockup on some DX11 games if I have let my system enter the sleep mode prior to launching those games. But not always, so I'm not saying this is a solution, just something to try. Reboot your modem, reboot your system prior to getting ready to race. Maybe get a small desktop fan to point at the modem for some extra cooling?
@Lionel15000 What kind of connection do you use from your machine to your router, LAN or W-LAN? If it's W-LAN, connect it with a wire and try if that solves the problem.
Yes, I reboot my computer and modem before racing, 1 or 2 hours before green flag. No, never W-Lan, i'm at 1 meter of my modem, this is OK for that.
