Hi, I have a T300 and every time I load a track my "Steering torque per-vehicle mult" is set back to 1.0. I have a file "T300F.json" in controller folder with "Steering torque per-vehicle mult" to 0.75 and everytime I enter a server (with the same car and same mod) I need to reload it, after that all is ok and changing session don't change my settings, only if I exit and the reenter the server I need to reload my personal controller settings. All other settings are loaded just as I enter the server, wheel buttons and also "Steering torque minimum":0.085, is as I set on my "T300F.json" saved controller file. Only "Steering torque per-vehicle mult" is back to 1.0 everytime I enter the server. I tried to delete all other files in controller folder, set "Steering torque per-vehicle mult" to 0.75 also in "controller.json" and flagged the file on read-only with no luck. In endurance race is a big problem, because if a have a driver change, I can't have my torque settings. I tested as spectator, I try to load my "T300F.json" torque mult is at 0.75 but as soon as I take control of a car (in driver change) I feel the FFB mult at 1.0. Only fix is to be the driver who start the race and hope that your teammate use 1.0
Not a solution, but a 'possible' work-around. reduce your TM control panel force 25 to counter the increased Torque before you load up rF2. You may only want to do that when you are team racing.
Would be good if we could add keyboard shortcuts for this so we can change it on the fly rather than having to exit back in to the pits.
The vehicle specific Mult is vehicle specific. It's not a global setting specified by your profile. This sounds like an issue with .cch files (?) or a vehicle/class identification error. If the game isn't quitting properly maybe this could happen.
Understood, but if he KNOWS the vsm is going to reset to zero, plan ahead and change your overall setting in the TM control panel. Also why I recommended only when team racing.
The game seems to quit properly, I already checked some .cch file because of this line in controller.json and my personal "T300F.json": "Steering torque per-vehicle mult#":"Per-vehicle steering column torque multiplier (this is a copy of the .CCH value)" But I'm not able to see any correlation (maybe I'm too dumb to see any) in .cch file. This is the .cch with the same name of the rfmod from the server I'm practicing at the moment: e-RS EES S2 V0-16.cch Spoiler //[[gMa1.002f (c)2016 ]] [[ ]] [CAREER] Experience=2491 Money=5002491 CurSeasIndex=0 SinglePlayerVehicle="H:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Installed\Vehicles\Oreca_07_LMP2_2017\2.03ERS\09_ARMS_42.VEH" SinglePlayerFilter="eES_P2" MultiPlayerFilter="|Hypercar|Senna GTR|eES|eES_GTE|eES_HC|eES_P2" AIAggression=0.2476 SinglePlayerAIStrength=95 MultiPlayerAIStrength=95 AbortedSeasons=0 TotalLaps=295 TotalRaces=3 TotalRacesWithAI=0 TotalPointsScored=0 TotalChampionships=0 TotalWins=0 TotalPoles=0 TotalLapRecords=0 AvgStartPosition=1.333333 AvgFinishPosition=0.000000 AvgRaceDistance=36.666668 AvgOpponentStrength=0.000000 [PLAYERTRACKSTAT] TrackName=BAHRAIN_GP2014 TrackFile=H:\STEAMLIBRARY\STEAMAPPS\COMMON\RFACTOR 2\INSTALLED\LOCATIONS\[E-RS] BAHRAIN\0.98\BAHRAIN_GP2014 ClassRecord="*",295,107.0000,-1.0000,-1.0000 ClassRecord="GTE",0,-1.0000,-1.0000,-1.0000 ClassRecord="LMP2",295,107.0000,-1.0000,-1.0000 CRL="ARMS Simracing #42","S7M (Soft)","S7M (Soft)",26307387,4210817786,3892461584 ClassRecord="Pace Car",0,-1.0000,-1.0000,-1.0000 AIParameters="Pace Car",-1.0000,-1.0000,-1.0000,0 AIParameters="GTE",-1.0000,-1.0000,-1.0000,0 AIParameters="LMP2",-1.0000,-1.0000,-1.0000,0 AIParameters="Hypercar",-1.0000,-1.0000,-1.0000,0 Next time I'll try to move all .cch file to another temp folder and see what happen
Have a look in all_vehicles.ini Use Ctrl+f to do a search if you want to find a particular car. Why are you answering me? I was talking to the OP. I didn't quote you, and I didn't say not to try what you said as a workaround.
@Dumedo In the player.JSON you will find this : User Vehicle Data":true, User Vehicle Data#":"0=save with user mod data (in CCH files), 1=save separately (in all_vehicles.ini)", "true" is defaut which saves to the all_vehicles.ini. Use true or false even though it says 0 or 1. For whatever reason the game will overwrite a number to a word. Bit bloody fussy I thinks. Change it to false if you want. I have no idea if it will help but going on what you quoted from the controller json, there is a chance.
@ADSTA "User Vehicle Data" is on "True" In all_vehicle.ini the car I'm using, I have 6 occurence regarding this car/rfmod combo: Spoiler ID=2329 File="H:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Installed\Vehicles\Oreca_07_LMP2_2017\2.03ERS\09_ARMS_42.VEH" FFBSteeringTorqueMult=1.000 ID=1423 File="H:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Installed\Vehicles\Oreca_07_LMP2_2017\2.02ERS\09_ARMS_42.VEH" FFBSteeringTorqueMult=0.750 ID=1026 File="H:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Installed\Vehicles\Oreca_07_LMP2_2017\2.01ERS\09_ARMS_42.VEH" FFBSteeringTorqueMult=1.000 ID=895 File="H:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Installed\Vehicles\Oreca_07_LMP2_2017\2.00ERS\09_ARMS_42.VEH" FFBSteeringTorqueMult=0.750 ID=862 File="H:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Installed\Vehicles\Oreca_07_LMP2_2017\1.90ERS\09_ARMS_42.VEH" FFBSteeringTorqueMult=0.750 ID=833 File="H:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Installed\Vehicles\Oreca_07_LMP2_2017\1.70ERS\09_ARMS_42.VEH" FFBSteeringTorqueMult=0.750 As you can see the latest and the third last have FFBSteeringTorqueMult=1.000 I'm going to make some experiments, changing the FFBSteeringTorqueMult to 0.750 in all these occurrence and see what happen. Thank you
So after 2 different test I can say that @ADSTA is the winner, pointing me the right direction. I've changed all "FFBSteeringTorqueMult" in all_vehicles.ini for the car I'm using to my 0.75 value, I tested on the same server saturday and today and all is fine, no need to reload my controller settings. Last thing I need to test is driver swap. So not really solved but just a workaround. Thank you all
Good to see progress has been made. I came across that Vehicle Data setting while I was doing my mirror guide. I don't guarantee my work for driver swaps, so wohoo, winner winner chicken dinner.
