I almost gave up. rfactor 2 boilerplate got nowhere on google until I removed rfactor2 I thought a better name might have been council worker. They don't do anything but you can't sack them.
Sorry, industry buzzword. Though common to many industries AFAIK (As Far As I Know ). Nothing revolutionary in the UI yet AFAICS (As Far As I Can See!)
That's all it will be I believe, prettying up the cars so that they will look ok in the new UI when it comes.
I'll be happy when the UI is released and I know to expect nothing more than a different look of the same features. I'm actually looking forward to the reaction of the vocal minority and their cries of disbelief about what is released. I promise to show great restraint with minimal posts.
I might even buy a new cushion so I don't hurt my desk to much with my forehead. Don't forget, monitors to be beyond arms length.
Wait and find out. And so it has started. From Steam :"The update broke a lot of skin packs.." That's it, short and concise. All the proof needed.
-F1 1968 eve and spark: Improved wet tires, grip drop off under wet conditions should now be more linear -1966 Brabham BT20: rain update -1968 Howston G4 and G6: rain update -1976 Brabham BT44b: Updated the collision model. Added a template -Zandvoort 2017: Minor fixes and added GP 2020 banner
Has your game been updating over the last few hours? If it has, look at the Steam Downloads page and it would have been saying Workshop Downloads. So after a download finishes start the Launcher to let it install the content, which also will display what is being installed. Then shut the Launcher. When it starts a download that says Game Update, then that will be the start of maybe a few downloads for the UI. No one knows anything for sure.
I really don't get this. It's almost like they are trying to shut modding down from the inside out. I've literally just been trying to look into some official Studio397 HDV files for some references for steering settings. I can understand encrypting files for modern cars where licences and sensitive data may be involved. But why do it on the fictional cars? Surely it's a good idea to open these up to give modders a good reference.
I've tried to bring that up many times previously. Some parts of cars are decrypted. For example, I was surprised to see the Tatuus car graphically were. That helped me figure out how to add the new shaders to cars. There are several things additionally that could be decrypted. When S397 decided not to do any more fictional, we lost that as a resource. It would be cool to have that Howston brand and have many models of that car so that things like a rally car, or a hybrid, or an electric car... things like that where it can be used as a test bed for modders to see these things and how to implement them as all the files are open. IDK, i'm just rambling at this point. Back to on topic, is there release notes on everything released so far? Everything is pretty scattered at the moment.
I fairly sure it's 3 Kartsim tracks. Plus another track still hiding. I've only found one and it wasn't a proper release not, more a list of files changed and they were not car or track stuff. https://steamdb.info/patchnotes/4511200/
