  1. Welcome to the Sim Formula 2020 qualifying – this week we will have a hotlap competition where the top 25 (with 5 reserves) will qualify for a series of races in the week of December 10-15th. In each of those races, a qualification session will be followed by two short sprint races, one with a reverse grid, to determine the wining driver of that day who will then qualify for the final.

You will be hotlapping to participate in the PreQ races that is held on tuesday-sunday next week.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm having a little trouble understanding the format :p

    1) How is the fastest driver of that day determined? Total race time of both races? This driver then won't participate anymore in the remaining race(s) I suppose?
    2) This is strangely phrased... I presume the top 25 aren't again invited to another 5 races in the week after 10-15 Dec? :)

  3. 1. It will be points per position but also explained in depth when we get closer
    2. Not sure what you mean, week after 10-15th? there is no races in the week after 15th.

Alrighty, thanks for clearing that up :)

The second point is that it's phrased like there are races after the 15th ;)

You didn't respond though - what exact model of Tatuus? Same as hotlap?
When can we learn the server settings such as start type, weather, realroad etc? Scoring system?

It would be very interesting (at least for me) to have a 'laps completed' column in the result sheet of a quali event.

  14. Tatuus F4 - the same model, i dont see any other F4 models
You require too much right now, all the specified info wont be available until monday THE SOONEST, though there are not real change to everything else we use.
will you be using the entire weekend doing standing start if that is what i say?
But quickly- standing start, weather will be considered on race day, rubber building, scoring system is really not something you need to worry about now.
Again i dont see any other models than one BMW M2 in game?
Me too, but this was something that was not agreed upon when the system was build.

I think Hany meant which Silverstone layout will be used. I was wondering the same thing.

@Jimmi Allison how do we find the race server? Will we be invited via mail to find the server? Or are we going to join one by getting password? Cheers and thank you so much for the opportunity you guys give us drivers!
