Hello I have not yet done the test of this mod that seems very successful. I watched and I realized that the mod has an update for the "physic" on some circuits. I assume that these tracks have a .GDB that calls the upgrade. I suppose that this pack of circuits are known to you but I do not feel to read the 64 pages to find their links ;-( Can you help me.
Thank Very good mod Indeed mistake on my part is the Mod F1 1996 that has this mention in the GDB And the track in 1988 its Very very Gooddddd
Hi Chief, any news on a historical version? I guess it's a league version for now so no difference on teams? am i right ? Thanks for the answer. I play with ai but it's not reflecting the real team standins for now. for the rest, for me simply the best mod so far, period ( or in equal to carrera 1988 ) )
Nah... Chief's mod is way better than Carrera 1988, just look at the car models and you see the difference and touch of splendor from Chief.
@nericksenna , Not here to make any competition. Sure this mod is fantastic, but carrera give us 16 tracks also, don't forget it Just so happy to have the opportunity of driving those beasts. All my respect for all moders in any case So, what about the historical version possibility Chief? Thanks alot Cheers
@ChiefWiggum , Hi, i supose that indy cart have make you busy last month. But now, it looks nearly finished, what about the HE of 1986 f1 serie? Thanks. Ps: i'm working on new ai path specially for those cars on carrera mod tracks. I can't give that modifications without carrera's authorisation now but, it work so much better for the ai. So, that's the reason i'm aware of HE edition. Maybe a complete mod joining carrera tracks and your carset would be a good thing for the community, but i would'nt do anything without permission of course Just an idea.
New F1/86 sound in the works. The car in the demo is in race trim and is still underpowered at 750bhp (the real car waas hitting about 950bhp). Interior audio is finished. Outside has a few things left to do but before I continue on the other cars, do people actually want this, or do they prefer the old sound? I think some people will prefer the distortion as it sounds louder. Personally I don't like distorted samples because that's not actually what you hear, it's what the poor microphone manages to record as it gets decimated.
I love the crackle in particular but (on my iPad) there is too much echo/reverb, it sounds like it’s in an empty room. I tried again through a sound bar and it’s great but too much echo. Don’t pay much attention to me though, my hearing is poor.
That might be because I have the track reverb set high in my player.Json. I think default is 0.3s@40%wet with a max range of 8meters, whereas mine is 0.6@100%wet with a max range of 20meters. Mine is likely an over kill but I like how it sounds whoooooshing past barriers and bridges. That being said, the quality of the in game reverb effect itself leaves a lot to be desired. While I'm blaming it all on the inbuilt reverb, there is a pretty decent chance that it's just some of the sound processing I've done. Is there any sound in particular which you're noticing the roomy reverb on? Or is it just the overall sound? - (In which case I'm safe as it's the track reverb lol, which is set by the user.)
Man your sounds sound fantastic, but for some reason when I listen to it I get more of a tuned up tourism car impression than that of a turbo F1 of 1986... can you use your sounds and/or add additional sounds from the real f186 cars to give it a little more "Oumpf" ?
It does use sounds from the C126 video you posted. The other videos are the wrong car - The Ferrari is called the F1/86 sorry for the confusion. The C126 revs a bit higher so it is higher pitched.
I’m not quite sure i understand what you just said lol. Anyway, I can’t wait to hear the end result Do you need any help or you’ve got all you need to continue?
