So I'm trying to use a stock-car mod at Apple Valley (auto club) and the track upgrade is forced to a specific tuning option. I'm wondering if there is a way to un-upgrade it from the track default? If I try to reset the tuning preference within the tuning page for these tracks, it does nothing. If I try to use the tuning upgrade I want to use and "force" the upgrade, it does nothing, just stays on the version of tuning I don't want to use. I find it kinda annoying that this is even a thing. Is there a way to get around this? It's a pain in the ass not being able to use the tuning settings you want to use. Thanks~
Usually a car-forced upgrade reflects real rules at a track. So you can't circumvent it, just like real life.
That sounds as if the mod has a trackconfig.ini included. So you, for example, would have to create an update with a modified trackconfi.ini or unpack the mod, edit the trackconfig.ini and repack it. But i would suggest to build an update only.
